Our client are specialists in their market sector, they are looking to recruit a Sales Estimator on a permanent basis.

If you have strong estimating experience and expertise in Engineering/ Laser Cutting/ Press Brake machinery this role could be ideal for you.

The Job youll do

  • This is a full-time on-site role for a Sales Estimator with expertise in Engineering/ Laser Cutting/ Press Brake machinery.
  • The Sales Estimator will be responsible for tasks such as:
  • Lead in driving forward technical driven estimating for key engineering initiatives through. modern manufacturing technologies such as CNC Laser Equipment, CNC Press Brake, Cobot Welding and Fabrication.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs, clarify technical requirements and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and where necessary suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and external services required for bespoke projects.
  • Analyse project specifications, technical drawings and customer requirements to generate accurate cost estimates.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all cost estimates, including assumptions, data sources and calculation methods.
  • Strong customer and sales focus, ensuring service levels to internal and external customers are maintained and constantly improved.
  • Maintain records of estimates versus actual costs for ongoing improvement in accuracy and efficiency.
  • Lead and participate in project meetings.
  • Work with multi-site production and engineering teams to refine manufacturing processes for improved cost effectiveness.
  • Adopt existing systems of work whilst also developing and cascading new methodologies and improved workflows for optimal project management.

About You

Key attributes

  • Experience in an Engineering background.
  • in Laser Cutting processing.
  • Experience in Press Brake processing.
  • Familiarity with metal fabrication processes or a manufacturing background.
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to present to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly ERP and Microsoft 365.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in an estimator tole.
  • Proven experience in multi-discipline teams and environments.
  • Technical or engineering background, qualification preferred but not essential.
