Are you an experienced electrical maintenance professional? Do you consider yourself to be proactive and an asset to a busy team? Are you based in or around Hartlepool?

We have a permanent Electrical Craft Team Member role available within Tata Steel Tubes. This role is ideal for someone with electrical maintenance skills and is hands-on, technical, and fast-paced.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the engineering team in carrying out preventative & reactive maintenance.

  • Maintain Health, Safety & Environmental standards, ensuring safe working procedures are followed.

  • Provide first-line technical expertise and knowledge to identify and rectify faults to minimise plant downtime.

  • Suggest and implement improvements to process control systems in collaboration with relevant peers.

  • Ensure high-quality work, repairing deficiencies expediently to prevent recurrence.

Essential Requirements:
  • Completed an electrical apprenticeship or possess a recognised electrical maintenance qualification (NVQ or similar).

  • Problem-solving approach to work.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Desirable Requirements:
  • Experience in heavy engineering manufacturing.

  • Industrial/domestic wiring knowledge.

  • Experience with:

    • Overhead Cranes & associated safety systems.

    • PLCs (Siemens & Allen Bradley including HMIs).

    • AC and DC motor/gearbox drive systems.

    • Variable speed motor control with inverters and converters.

    • Interpretation of electrical drawings.

    • Awareness of safety-related control systems.
