About the job - The General Manager of Operations will plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee operations activities in the organization, ensuring development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the organization

General Manager Operations - Is able to build strong teams and able to hold the team together in common purpose toward meeting the set objectives. Through the leadership, the ability to challenge, inspire, enable, model and encourage must be demonstrated.

General Manager, Operations has the ability to communicate with people at all levels. The incumbent must have the ability to effectively negotiate and use persuasion when necessary to ensure the success of the team and operations. The incumbent work well under intense pressure to deliver on time, under budget and with no major problems. You have excellent problem solving skills and are able to think out of the box in order to solve arising issues. You are performance driven and able to strive towards the accomplishment of the Division and Groups’ vision and goals

  • Plan, direct, coordinate, and lead activities of operations to ensure that goals, objectives and all elements of the operations are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and parameters.
  • Ensure projects are executed within budget, schedule and acceptable quality and potential issues (if any) are detected early and corrective actions implemented immediately to avoid failure
  • Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure cross-functional alignment and smooth operations.
  • Oversee the implementation and management of operational systems, processes, and policies to enhance productivity and streamline operations.
  • Mitigate risk with regards to succession Planning
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Implementation of HSE policy for all team members while attending at customer work site

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Project Management or equivalent.
  • At least 20 years working experience in a similar capacity within an international setup in oil and gas industry
  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of financial management principles and budgeting.
