RMS Recruitment is excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Payroll Supervisor to join a thriving and dynamic account-based business in Hartlepool. Our client, a well-established company with a strong reputation in the financial services sector, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to oversee their payroll operations. About the Role:

As a Payroll Supervisor you will possess attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a thorough understanding of payroll systems and regulations are essential. You will play a critical part in ensuring the company’s payroll operations run smoothly and efficiently, contributing to employee satisfaction and regulatory compliance.

  • Supervise a small team.
  • Process end-to-end weekly and monthly payrolls using BrightPay software.
  • Calculate and process statutory deductions (PAYE, National Insurance, pension contributions).
  • Investigate and resolve any payroll discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with the Service Delivery Manager to improve payroll processes.
  • Maintain compliance with payroll regulations and our internal policies and processes.

About You:

  • At least 2 years’ experience working within a payroll bureau or accountancy practice at supervisor level.
  • Proficiency in the use of Brightpay software.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, especially with the use of formulae.
  • Deep understanding of UK payroll regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members.
