Recruiting for a Recycling Sort Line Operative to join our successful client based in the in Hartlepool, TS25 2BE area. Our client who specialises in Waste Management is transforming waste into valuable resources and lessening its impact on the environment.

The right person will have to follow the shift pattern dayshift & nightshift

Pay rate: £11.60-£12.25, weekly pay in arrears, every Friday

Shift pattern: Monday to Sunday, dayshift 7am-7pm & nightshift 7pm-7am

Recycling Sort Line Operative - Duties & Responsibilities

The shift pattern for this role is days & nights. The right person will have to follow the shift pattern, report and address any safety concerns promptly to prevent accidents and the ability to work efficiently under varying site conditions. Due to the nature of this position, you will be standing for long periods of time in the same position.

As a Recycling Sort line Operative you will be responsible for the removal of recyclable material and non-recyclable materials from a moving conveyor in a safe and productive manner ensuring that pick rate targets are achieved.

The role involves picking selected material off the moving conveyor belt, to perform a various of task including cleaning duties, manual handling, broom and shovel as it is industrial site. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, attention to safety and follow project timelines and complete tasks within the set deadlines.

  • Separating & placing materials for further recycling in the appropriate chute
  • Ensure quality and recovery rates are maximised
  • Picking at defined rates selective materials from a moving conveyor
  • General duties throughout the site
  • General Housekeeping and cleaning of machines & the operator cabins
  • Follow all site health and safety rules
