Job Title: SEND TeacherLocation: Hartlepool and Surrounding Areas

Empowering Learning are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated SEND Teachers to work in mainstream primary settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising staff on individual pupil needs and developing tailored learning plans.
  • Collaborate closely with parents, caregivers, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Create a positive and nurturing environment that promotes pupils' emotional well being and self-confidence.
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage pupils and enhance their learning experience.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing regular feedback to families, colleagues, and pupils.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team, contributing to the wider school community.
  • Provide accurate administration support related to pupil progress and data.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have previous experience in a similar role and a strong understanding of special education.
  • Demonstrate proven experience working with pupils with various SEND requirements.
  • Hold a degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Be passionate about promoting pupil well being and helping every child reach their potential.
  • Have excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum objectives and expectations.
  • Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with pupils.
  • Be patient, empathetic, resilient, and proactive in overcoming challenges.
  • Bring high levels of energy, enthusiasm, and positivity to the role.
