Project Engineer - Acoustic Engineering

Due to continued growth, this respected, established market leader, who designs and manufactures acoustic ventilation systems and enclosures for large industrial applications is looking to recruit an Acoustic Specialist to project manage all aspects of projects, from early stages to completion, with activities including supervising environmental sound surveys, calculations, and EIA chapter drafting.

The role would also involve maintaining and developing contacts with key clients. The successful candidate will prepare project scopes and fee proposals. Candidates will need to be organised to manage and deliver timely and commercially successful outputs.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Ensure that project scope is clearly communicated to the internal Design and Manufacturing teams, and milestone dates agreed, to ensure that there is no delay to the design or build of equipment.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and risk assessments to determine the viability of new projects.
  • Capture any changes to the project scope and liaise with the sales team to ensure any additional costs quoted.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and user manuals.
  • Provide technical support to production and installation teams.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Requirement:

  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to create and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Familiarity with EIA chapter drafting is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar 2D/3D software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • UK Driving Licence required.
