HGV Class 1 Driver

£14.00 per hour (£16.00 per hour after 50 hours)
Full time and Part time positions available
Monday to Friday
Immediate start available
Annual leave: 28 days (inclusive of Statutory Bank Holidays)
As one of the fastest growing UK pallet manufacturers; Industrial Pallet & Transport Services (IPTS Ltd) are recruiting an HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER to join the team.
Hours of work:
Monday to Friday – Starting hours to fit with customers’ requirements (no weekend working)
Very occasional nights out
Winter shutdown – Christmas week (no working between Christmas and New Year)
No late finishes – Good work-life balance
The role and responsibilities
- Daily record keeping and daily checks of vehicle
- Reporting vehicle defects to management
- Strapping and ensuring load secure
- Adherence to health and safety regulations
- Keeping vehicle safe, clean and tidy
Skills and experience requirements
- Full clean HGV Class 1 licence
- Experience of HGV Class 1 driving essential
- Driver CPC essential
- Counterbalance FLT licence an advantage but not essential
- Successful candidate will be physically fit of smart appearance and highly motivated
- Must be prepared to do occasional nights out as and when required
- Good team spirit/work ethic, enthusiasm and flexibility required
- Must be able to work on own initiative
- No roping and sheeting. Must be able to use ratchet straps.
- Any other duties deemed necessary to fulfil the role
