An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Nursing Associate. We are looking for talented, passionate, and committed individuals to join our nursing team as a full-time Trainee Nursing Associate.

The Nursing Associate training programme combines and integrates both academic and work-based learning through close collaboration between employers and education providers. As a Trainee Nursing Associate, subject to acceptance by the university, you would enrol on the 2 year Nursing Associate Foundation Degree delivered as a full-time workplace-basedapprenticeship with a level 5 Foundation Degree at Chichester University, starting in February 2025.

Job Summary:

The post-holder works as a Senior Health Care Assistant until the programme begins in February 2025.They will then work under supervision of the Registered Nurses as a Trainee Nursing Associate and undertake tasks and duties defined in the TNA

The Trainee Nursing Associate will be based at Holy Cross Hospital, attending university one day per week and experience working in alternative settings in order to gain a wide appreciation of many health and care contexts and are able to fulfil all the requirements of the programme. On successful completion of the course the Nursing Associate will have registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC).

Person Specification

  • A minimum of 1 year previous experience in a HCA role is desirable

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent Numeracy skills
  • Maths & English Grade C/4 GCSE or Level 2 Functional skills are a must
  • Adaptability and flexibility
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure
  • Ability to be self-directing
  • Teamwork

You must have be able to prove that you have the right to work and study in England with no restrictions, which must coverthe duration of the apprenticeship programme.
