Description

We are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer for an Industrial Machinery and Equipment Manufacturer to join their team, based in Haslingden.

Key Responsibilities

  • Experience working in an industrial machinery and equipment manufacturer.
  • Experience dealing with and auditing.
  • Experience with EQMS Systems/Software's.
  • Investigate operational problems affecting the production line and deal with them in a systematic, methodical manner with managers, engineers and operators.
  • Flawless execution of all supplier related projects including transfers, specification changes and improvement plans.
  • Identify and manage any necessary improvement plans with the focus on driving a reduction in PPM performance.
  • Develop and maintain an internal audit process to ensure process conformity and effectiveness as per standard requirements.
  • Undertake testing when conducting thorough investigations, including compilation of technical reports.
  • Compile the necessary documentation to ensure approval to supply products to customers.
  • Implement a robust corrective action process and ensure that timely and effective action is taken on all issues.
  • Develop the process to record Cost of Poor Quality generated at the business, with the ability to quickly determine causes of waste generation.
  • Ensure that suppliers are fully engaged in the New Product Development process; ensure full capability and understanding during the knowledge transfer process, supplemented by audits as required.
  • Maintenance and administration of systems used to document issues and drive business improvement, such as registers and QMS.

  • Engineering background.
  • Experience working within manufacturing.
  • Auditing - ISO9001
  • Knowledge of problem solving and continuous improvement techniques.
  • Experience working with Quality Tools
  • Strong Communication
