Ignata Finance need a hands-on, enthusiastic Credit Controller who is super talented and has a high attention to detail, the ability to use their own initiative and be inquisitive.   This is working for a brilliant business based just outside of Haywards Heath. They have a great team, supportive manager, and welcoming culture.  The Role    The successful temporary Credit Controller must have a strong AR background gained over a few years. They are happy to train in elements of the role, but a core basic understanding is essential.      This will be joining an established team and will be reporting directly into the Financial Controller. There will be lots of exposure to the senior leadership as people are always asking questions – the ability to explain issues and queries is important.     Key responsibilities 
  • Maintain the sales ledger and customer credit accounts to ensure timely payment against agreed credit terms
  • Assign credit terms to new customer accounts, ensuring limits are in line with current credit policy
  • Maintain effective customer relationships to ensure prompt payment and reduce late-payment/ bad-debts
  • Manage the customer 'stop-list' and liaise with Sales teams/ customer contacts to promote sales but minimise risk
  • Post cash and oversee banking of cash receipts
  • Process credit-card payments over the telephone on-line, and all account administration, within data-protection regulations
  • Manage customer correspondence relating to invoicing, statements and 'requests for payment'
  • Provide credit control support/ administration for European sister-companies 
  • Additional telephone and administrative support within the Finance team considered commensurate to the role
