We are looking for a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to support children with moderate learning difficulties and additional mental health needs. This schools needs an SEMH Teaching Assistant for an autism- specific school based in Hassocks for children aged 11-19. You will be working in partnership with the school's teaching staff and therapists to deliver specific interventions that aim to boost students' learning, development and well-being. Responsibilities of an SEMH Teaching Assistant:

Assist the class teacher in providing the learning experience of students
Behaviour and pastoral support
Take an active role in forward planning with therapists
Ability to build robust and effective relationships with students
Practical approach to meet the individual needs of students
Willing to work 1:1 and in small groups with students
Ensure safeguarding of students, in line with procedures
Attend staff meetings and complete appropriate CPD

Requirements of an SEMH Teaching Assistant:
