Hours - 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday 08:4 until 16:15 - 40 weeks per year
Salary - Dependent upon experience, qualifications and responsibility taken
Start Date - February 2025

You will be working with a specialist school that is dedicated to providing a nurturing and supportive educational environment for young people aged 11-19 years old who may have a range of learning difficulties, including autism and associated needs. This school is situated in a serene location and offers a comprehensive and individualised curriculum to meet each unique need of each student. This school has a combination of tailored academic programs, therapeutic interventions and life skills training which empowers the students to achieve their full potential and prepare for a fulfilling future. The school features state-of-the-art facilities, including modern classrooms, expansive outdoor spaces such as gardening facilities and animals on site.

Your new role

  • Adapt teaching methods to meet individual student requirements.
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Encourage pupils' confidence and independence.
  • Ensure students have access to necessary resources (e.g., materials, assistive technology).



What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience working with young people and special educational needs is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Work creatively and flexibly with students with special educational needs to promote autonomy, independence, personal development and employability for all students.
  • Form and promote positive relationships with staff, students, parents, the local community and outside agencies
  • Compassionate and patient approach
