A well-established and growing business in St Leonards-on-Sea is seeking a Credit Controller to join their friendly and supportive accounts team. If you have a solid background in credit control or accounts and enjoy building relationships with clients while ensuring smooth and efficient processes, this could be the perfect role for you!What you'll be doing:Managing the sales ledger, including invoicing, cash allocation, and debt recoveryKeeping debtor days low by following up on overdue accounts in a timely mannerQuickly resolving customer queries by liaising with different departmentsPerforming accurate bank and cash reconciliationsAssisting with customer reports, rebates, and discountsHandling general administration, including updating procedural documentationSupporting the wider accounts team with various finance tasks and analysisWhat we're looking for:Proven experience in credit control or a similar finance roleStrong verbal and written communication skills for liaising with customers and suppliersHigh proficiency in Excel and general accounting softwareAbility to manage large data sets with accuracy and attention to detailKnowledge of basic accounting processes and VAT legislationExcellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectivelyA Level education or equivalentWhat's in it for you:Competitive salary up to £29,000 DOEMonday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm (30 minute lunch break)25 days holiday, plus bank holidays and your birthday offA friendly, supportive team and free on-site parkingIf you're looking for a dynamic role where you can make a real impact in a growing business, we'd love to hear from you!
