Reed Education Sussex is looking for a teaching assistant to join a team in Hastings. The school has a strong vision of excellence, resilience and aspiration. As a learning support assistant, you will work closely with the teachers and students in the classroom, as well as in small groups or one-to-one sessions. You will assist with the planning, preparation and delivery of lessons, as well as with the assessment and feedback of students’ work. You will also support the pastoral care and behaviour management of the students.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

Previous experience working in schools or with young people
At least a NVQ Level 2 or relevant experience in education or childcare
The ability to converse easily and maintain good interpersonal skills
The skills to deescalate challenging behaviour and promote positive outcomes

The working hours are 08:30-15:00, Monday to Friday, with a day pay rate of £90-£95. You will also need to have a valid DBS check and be able to provide two references from your previous employers.
