Behaviour Buddy

This role is ideal if you aspire to gain experience in SEN or have career gaols to become a Youth Worker, Probation/Prison Officer, Psychologist, Therapist or SEN Teacher.

We are seeking a caring and dedicated Behaviour Buddy to join our team in Hastings. In this rewarding role, you'll provide essential support to children with unique challenges, including autism, ADHD, and behavioral issues, helping them feel safe, supported, and empowered.

Responsibilities of a Behaviour Buddy:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a child with complex needs and help, students understand instructions.
  • Assist in implementing individual learning and, support plans.
  • Support children during social activities and outings.
  • Encourage communication and manage behaviour.
  • Work alongside the teacher and SEN team to create a positive learning environment.
  • Prepare and provide learning materials.

Requirements of a Behaviour Buddy:

  • Impose patience and understanding.
  • Have an understanding with challenging behaviour.
  • Always be adaptable in any give situation.
  • Be able to develop strong and positive relationships with children.
  • Committed to working as part of a team.
