About the role of Estimator:
This is an exciting new opportunity for someone to join their growing commercial department. You will be responsible for preparing whole development budgets, estimates and cashflows from pre-land purchase to final budget estimate, prior to the handover to the Quantity Surveying and Buying teams.
Responsibilities for Estimator:
- You will be responsible for providing a high-quality commercial service from pre-contract to final account to ensure continued, business profitability
- You will be taking off from drawings, preparing Bills of Quantities, attend pre start meetings, reviewing tenders, and placing and issuing sub-contract orders
- You'll be required to carry out monthly valuations, price and negotiate variations and collate any required QA sheets
Requirements for Estimator:
5 -10 years' experience as an Estimator
Background working with a Tier 1 / 2 Main Contractor would be desirable
Strong communication and organisation skills
Ability to lead a team of junior and assistant Estimators
