Legal Aid Solicitor Location – Hastings, East Sussex
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and compassionate Legal Aid Solicitor to join a busy and thriving team in Hastings. This role is vital in supporting families in need by providing expert guidance and representation within the Legally Aided Family Proceedings sector.
The Role
You will:
- Manage your own caseload and provide legal advice across a range of family law matters, including Legal Aid applications and family proceedings
- Offer professional services to clients, primarily based in Hastings, with some liaison with nearby offices
- Support the ongoing development and success of the Family Law Department
- Undertake advocacy work as required
- Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to strategize for growth and build new client relationships
You will bring:
Qualifications:
- Professional experience and credentials in Legally Aided Family Proceedings
Skills:
- Knowledge of the Legal Aid Client and Case Management System (CCSM) and costing processes is advantageous
- Strong organizational abilities and a proven capacity to manage a support team
- Flexibility to take on new projects and lead them to completion
- Proficiency in cloud-based Case Management Systems and digital dictation software (or a willingness to learn)
