Are you a dedicated Primary Teacher passionate about supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Engage Education is seeking a compassionate educator to join a nurturing environment focused on helping young learners thrive.
About the School: This school provides a safe and supportive space for pupils in Years 1 to 6 who may struggle with social, emotional, and mental health challenges. With a focus on individualised learning, the school aims to help each child reach their full potential. Class sizes are small, with 4 to 8 children supported by 2 teaching assistants, ensuring personalised attention and care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in achieving their individual learning goals.
- Understand and implement Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Use effective de-escalation strategies to manage classroom behaviour.
- Cater to a variety of needs and behaviours with flexibility and compassion.
- Exhibit resilience and adaptability in your teaching approach.
- Employ effective behaviour management techniques.
- Understand the principles of attachment and trauma in education.
