We are seeking to appoint an outstanding and energetic Class Teacher to join our team at a purpose-built special school in Hastings. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic professional with a deep understanding of and commitment to teaching children with complex behavioural, social, and emotional difficulties.
Day to Day of the role:- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences tailored to children with SEMH and associated needs.
- Develop and implement individualised education plans to meet the specific needs of each pupil.
- Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that supports pupils’ emotional and academic growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support the overall development of pupils.
- Continuously assess and record pupils’ progress, adapting teaching methods to facilitate learning and development.
- Contribute to the school’s ethos of high expectations and a climate of possibility, ensuring each child is well-prepared for the future.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in a similar role.
- Proven track record of teaching primary-aged pupils with SEMH and associated needs.
- Strong understanding of the strategies required to manage complex behaviours effectively.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with staff, pupils, and parents.
- Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
- Right to live and work in the United Kingdom.
