A specialist school are actively looking for an enthusiastic Aspiring Educational Psychologist to assist with complex and, learning needs as well as supporting children with moderate learning difficulties and, additional mental health needs. This school is based in Hailsham for children aged 4-16 and has speciailised in SEMH to provide exceptional education and, provide extra help for traumatised children and, young people.

Responsibilities of an Aspiring Educational Psychologist:

  • Assist the class teacher in providing the learning experience of students.
  • Ability to perform conflict resolution and de-escalation.
  • Behaviour and pastoral support.
  • Take an active role in forward planning with therapists.
  • Practical approach to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Willing to work 1:1 and in small groups with students.
  • Ensure safeguarding of students, in line with procedures.

Requirements of an Aspiring Educational Psychologist:

  • Impose patience and, understanding.
  • Have an understanding with challenging behaviour.
  • Always be adaptable in any give situation.
  • To be able to develop trusting and positive relationships with students.
