We are working on behalf of a leading social housing contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality maintenance and repair services to tenants across Hastings . Due to continued growth, we are looking for skilled and experienced Multi Traders to join their team and contribute to maintaining and improving homes for residents.
Job Overview:
As a Multi Trader, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of repair and maintenance tasks within occupied and void social housing properties. You will deliver a high standard of workmanship across multiple trades, including carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, and decorating, ensuring that homes are safe, well-maintained, and comfortable for residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out general maintenance and repairs across a range of trades, including carpentry, plumbing, tiling, plastering, and decorating.
- Perform responsive repairs in both occupied and void properties to ensure minimal disruption to tenants.
- Complete scheduled and ad-hoc maintenance tasks to a high standard, ensuring jobs are finished on time and within budget.
- Diagnose issues, identify materials needed, and complete works efficiently while adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Liaise with tenants, site supervisors, and housing officers to ensure clear communication and excellent customer service.
- Ensure all work is carried out to company standards and meet regulatory requirements.
- Complete necessary paperwork and update the team on progress using company systems.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience as a Multi Trader or similar role in a social housing or maintenance environment.
- Competent across multiple trades such as carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, and painting/decorating.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety procedures.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with tenants and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle multiple tasks.
- A full, UK driving license is essential.
