We are excited to offer the opportunity for outstanding and energetic Class Teachers to join our dedicated team at a special educational needs school catering to primary-aged children. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and committed to supporting children with complex behavioural, social, and emotional difficulties.

Day to day of the role:
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences tailored to children with SEMH and associated needs.
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that supports each child’s individual development.
  • Implement strategies to manage complex behaviours effectively and promote positive outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and coordinate lessons that engage and challenge pupils.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on the progress of pupils, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the school’s curriculum, ensuring it is accessible and enriching for all pupils.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and support the school’s ethos of continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children with SEMH or in a special educational needs setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse needs.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to foster a positive learning environment.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Resilience, patience, and a positive approach to overcoming challenges.
