Youth Engagement Mentor needed in Hastings
We're looking for a passionate individual to join one of our SEMH Schools in Hastings, and support young adults with their learning and development.
Previous experience working with young people facing barriers to learning is an advantage, but is not essential.
The Role
- Working with a small class of children to support them emotionally and academically
- Being versatile, and intuitive with children's needs and adapting the day to appropriately support each individual
- Be able to adapt to the needs of the child in lessons and assist them in their school day
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage the children to stay on task
Previous experience
- Experience working with children who struggle to engage
- Experience working with adults/children with Mental Health issues
- ANY experience working with children and young adults
- An understanding of therapeutic approaches
