Finance Business Partner / Management Accountant required for highly successful consumer business with track record for development & promoting talent

Due to another promotion I am beginning the process of hiring a Finance Manager for my market leading consumer client, offering progression and very good degree of Hybrid working.

Whilst reporting into the Head of Commercial Finance the role will be split 50/50 between Management Reporting and providing commercial insight to the sales and operations.

Key Accountabilities and duties include:

Commercial Finance & Business Partnering

  • Consolidate and present periodic forecasting
  • Use financial modelling to set out potential scenarios and present outcomes/proposals to non-finance stakeholders
  • Proactively investigate and review opportunities to improve profit margins
  • Provide key commercial insight to non-finance stakeholder driving an understanding of financial performance
  • Co-ordinate both the annual budget and 5-year plan whilst developing/improving the budget and forecast modelling
  • Financially appraise investment proposals
  • Partner with sales & procurement teams to develop financially robust customer tenders which are aligned to the overall business strategy
  • Partner with key Senior Leadership Team members and become their Finance SME

Financial Reporting & Control

  • Take responsibility of month end and year end processes collaborating with the wider finance team along with the sales & procurement teams to ensure the results are understood and accurate
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities around systems and controls
  • Ensure robust balance sheet control and reconciliation processes are in place and reviewed regularly
