Site Manager - Waste Management

Location: Hatfield Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (negotiable based on experience)Contract Type: Full-time

About the Role:Our client are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the safe and compliant operation of our Waste Recycling Facility in Hatfield . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hazardous waste management and hold a WAMITAB Level 4 qualification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the facilities operate in full compliance with Environmental Permits, Planning Permissions, and relevant legislation.
  • Meet regulatory and internal reporting requirements accurately and promptly.
  • Manage and mentor staff, ensuring they are competent in their tasks and responsibilities.
  • Drive operational efficiency and improve site productivity while maximizing throughput.
  • Oversee transport logistics to ensure efficient loading and unloading of materials.
  • Communicate effectively with various departments to align site operations with business goals.
  • Maintain the highest standards of Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ).
  • Manage the Hazardous P&L, including sales and costs.
  • Ensure timely completion and submission of Waste Returns.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Waste management is essential.
  • WAMITAB Level 4 MROC1 certification Essential.
  • Strong leadership and people skills
  • Good communication and organizational abilities.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance requirements.
