The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Planning Analyst to join their Finance team. This role offers excellent career development potential in a business that values innovation and analytical thinking. Reporting to the Financial Planning Manager, you will play a key role in providing financial insights that drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate and timely financial reporting for both internal and external stakeholders
- Develop and monitor KPIs and metrics to track business performance
- Contribute to monthly management accounts and variance analysis
- Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
- Provide analytical support for business initiatives and investment decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver financial insights
- Identify trends and opportunities for process improvements
- Prepare ad-hoc analysis and financial models as required
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 1-3 years post-qualification experience
- Strong background in financial planning and analysis within a commercial environment
- Experience in internal and external reporting
- Proven track record in developing and monitoring KPIs and performance metrics
- Proficient in data analysis and visualization tools similar to Power BI
- Experience with consolidation platforms would be highly advantageous
- Advanced Excel skills and aptitude for learning new systems
- Excellent attention to detail with analytical problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
