The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Planning Analyst to join their Finance team. This role offers excellent career development potential in a business that values innovation and analytical thinking. Reporting to the Financial Planning Manager, you will play a key role in providing financial insights that drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate and timely financial reporting for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop and monitor KPIs and metrics to track business performance
  • Contribute to monthly management accounts and variance analysis
  • Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
  • Provide analytical support for business initiatives and investment decisions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver financial insights
  • Identify trends and opportunities for process improvements
  • Prepare ad-hoc analysis and financial models as required

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 1-3 years post-qualification experience
  • Strong background in financial planning and analysis within a commercial environment
  • Experience in internal and external reporting
  • Proven track record in developing and monitoring KPIs and performance metrics
  • Proficient in data analysis and visualization tools similar to Power BI
  • Experience with consolidation platforms would be highly advantageous
  • Advanced Excel skills and aptitude for learning new systems
  • Excellent attention to detail with analytical problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
