Linux Administrator Hatfield
We are proud to be partnering with our client, a large scale local organisation boasting over 30,000 unique users as they look to engage a Linux Administrator to join their Technology team due to continued expansion.
This is a hands on role and will encompass the implementation, maintenance and support of server and storage infrastructure, operating systems, databases and applications software and web-based service delivery to ensure the robust, reliable, efficient and secure operation their systems and services.

Duties will include (but not be limited to):
* Installing, configuring and providing upgrades to server and database systems and applications software as required, including server virtualisation
* Monitoring and management of systems performance and usage
* Testing and implementation of new technologies and services and planning and testing of systems business continuity and disaster recovery arrangements
* Development and maintenance of systems documentation
Skills and experience required:
* Proven experience as a Linux Administrator or similar role supporting a largescale corporate environment
* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
* Proven knowledge of server operating systems and virtualisation techniques
* Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g. OES, CentOS/Rocky, Red Hat, SUSE) and familiarity with network protocols and services (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
* Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python)
* Proven specialist understanding in Active Directory domain
* A good understanding of ADFS - Trust Creation, management and administration
* Proven specialist understanding Microsoft 365 Administration, Security policy and health monitoring
* Specialist understanding of Windows Server OS Patch management and automation
* A degree / equivalent Qualification in computing or equivalent expertise and experience
