A fantastic private hospital based in Hertfordshire is looking for an experienced Theatre Healthcare Assistant to join their growing team.

HCA Duties:

  • To provide support to the clinical staff in the delivery of first-class patient care.
  • To support registered nurses in the assessment of care and participate without direct supervision in the planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care of patients.
  • Deal with client and consultant requests in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Chaperoning during patients consultations
  • Wound assessment and changing of dressings
  • Ensure the safe use and maintenance of equipment used within the clinic.
  • Perform mandatory daily and weekly checks to ensure all clinical governance standards are adhered to.

Who are we looking for?

  • IT literate
  • Previous experience in a similar role, within either an NHS or private hospital setting.
  • Excellent communicator with good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow a clear instruction and feedback to senior staff
  • Ability to work as part of a team, as well as on own initiative
  • Able to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Must not require sponsorship as hospital cannot offer this.
