Onsite IT Support Specialist - Hatfield c£31,000 plus exceptional benefits and annual salary increments

We are proud to be partnering with our client, a well-established and respected organisation and one of the largest local employers as they look to engage an Onsite IT Support Specialist to add to one of their IT support teams.

With over 30,000 unique users, you will interface with users at all levels of the business. You will resolve user issues with a mix of phone, email, webchat, deskside and tech bar support. The team offer a rotation so you will regularly provide support across all of these so there is real variety in your role.

In addition to your existing technical IT support skills, you must have excellent communication and customer care skills with a desire to provide the best service possible. This is an essential element to the role. Your work will be varied, supporting a predominantly windows environment, working across hardware, software, AV and Apple devices.

As part of the additional package they offer an exceptional pension of 19% and an annual leave of around 37 in total annually, amongst other benefits.

Hybrid working is not an option for this role. There is also an out of hours rota with a requirement to work approx. 1 Sunday in every 3 (perhaps less). For this you would be able to take the preceding Friday off so that you still have 2 days off together.

Skills and experience required:

  • Proven experience of providing IT support within a customer facing role with a minimum of 2 years commercial IT support experience at 1st or 2nd support level for both hardware and software
  • You must be skilled in offering support to both windows and Apple technologies
  • Proven ability in fault diagnosis and resolution and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication skills are mandatory
