The One Group are pleased to be partnering exclusively with Davall Gears who are seeking a strong operationally and commercially focused Managing Director to join their company in order to increase sales and grow the business organically.My client has built up a strong name within the industry in which they manufacture specialist gearing systems and gearboxes and supply them into the Aerospace and Defence industries.As Managing Director of the business, you will report into the president of MTI where you will be at the forefront of overseeing business operations and proving strategic leadership ensuring the business is moving forward in a profitable direction by growing sales.This is a pivotal role requiring a commercially astute professional with the ability to balance financial oversight, operational efficiency and a passion for people. You will lead a skilled team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture, and act as an ambassador for the business with clients and stakeholders.Key responsibilities include:

  • Create and execute the companies business strategies to attain short- and long-term goals for the group.
  • Work with the leadership team to build a productive and thriving workforce that drives employee retention and stables teams at all levels.
  • Create and implement business plans which include cost effective operations, improved efficiency and market development activities to deliver profitable growth.
  • Full P & L responsibility managing budgets and identifying opportunities for investment and cost optimisation.

What we are looking for:

  • Educated to Degree or equivalent level.
  • Strong both commercially and operationally where you can improve business both financially and operationally.
  • Experienced in working at exec leadership level within precision engineering supplying into the Aerospace or Defence sectors.
  • Strong background in driving and embedding positive change within businesses.
