The One Group are pleased to be working with a leading provider of Gears and Gearboxes to a range of sectors in Hertfordshire who are seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.This is an exciting opportunity to be joining a growing business and are seeking a self-motivated team player with excellent communication skills to assist with product quality improvement activities, compliance with customer specs and improving efficiencies of procedures in SOP's in compliance to AS9100 standards.The day to day duties include:

  • Lead RCA activities
  • Communicate with suppliers and customers on all quality issues including complaints, quality issues, returns, audits and approvals
  • Carry out FAIR's and PPAP activities
  • Identify opportunities for improvements in the business management systems

What we are looking for:

  • Quality Engineering experience across Automotive, Aerospace and Medical device industries
  • Experienced in the use of quality tools such as 5 Why's, 8D's and Ishikawas
  • Knowledge of APQP and PPAP `
  • The ability to read engineers drawings
