Science Teacher Position at Alternative Provision School

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join our Alternative Provision School in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. Our school offers individualised learning experiences for 60 students, with a maximum of 6 students per class. Science is delivered up to GCSE level, though many students are focused on vocational qualifications.

Role Overview:As a Science Teacher, you'll be responsible for designing dynamic and engaging lessons tailored to each student's unique learning needs. Working alongside our passionate team of educators, you'll play a vital role in supporting the educational journey of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality science lessons up to GCSE level
  • Design and maintain personalised education plans for each student
  • Provide regular progress updates to students and their families
  • Track and monitor student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and other key stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred, but teaching experience is also valued
  • Experience teaching science up to GCSE level
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting students with individual learning needs
