Night Security Support Officer Vacancy

A reputable housing charity is currently recruiting for a Night Security Support Officer in the Hertfordshire area. This would be a temporary to permanent contract and you’ll be required to work 40 hours per week.Length: Temporary to permanentHours: Night shifts – 10pm- 8am (40 hours) on a rolling rota 5 nights on 2 nights off currently but will be changing to 4 on 2 off - 10pm to 8amLocation: HatfieldPay: £14.00 per hour PAYE including holiday payThe role involves:• Providing a night concierge service to residents and visitors within a homeless hostel• Controlling access to the building• Monitoring CCTV systems to identify any possible incidents• Undertaking frequent and regular patrols of the building and monitoring any anti-social behaviour• Dealing with health and safety issues• Acting as a fire warden in the event of a fire alarm being triggered• Contacting the “on call” manager in the event of an emergency or serious incident • Being compassionate and caring in the event a resident is feeling vulnerable• Dealing with mental health crisis that may arise

Additional requirements:• Experience in a similar position working night shifts• An enhanced DBS ideally from within three years or willingness to obtain one• Experience working with vulnerable clients
