An exciting opportunity has become available for a Software Architect (M-ARS, Control Systems), based in Hatfield.

Role:

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing robust software systems that support the critical operations of rail networks. From improving train management and scheduling to developing safety-critical applications, your expertise will directly contribute to the success of vital projects within the rail sector.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Deliver standardised objectives and optimum system solutions
  • Deliver M-ARS product, while maintaining reliability and safety principles
  • Develop new system solutions
  • Technical Team Leadership for system engineers

Essential Requirements:

  • MSc or BSc level education in an engineering related subject, preferably software engineering
  • Proven experience as a Software Architect or in a senior software engineering role, with a focus on large-scale systems
  • Ability to liaise with all stakeholders across the project
  • Organisational skills
  • Technical report writing

Desirable:

  • Commercial and financial awareness
  • Vitalisation and Cloud Technologies
