CMA Recruitment Group are supporting a progressive Havant, Hampshire services business in their recruitment of a Financial Controller. This role will initially be for a 6 month period and has been created due to the ongoing growth of the business and internal progression of the Finance Director.There is the possibility that this role could lead to a permanent position. The business has shown impressive growth over the last 3 years and is therefore able to offer excellent opportunities.What will the Interim Financial Controller role involve?
- Lead a small finance team and oversee all day to day finance operations including monthly internal and external statuary reporting;
- Act as business partner to senior stake holders, ensuring finance information is fully understood and enabling sound decision making;
- Review internal processes with a view to streamlining reporting and improving timescales of getting information into the business;
- Support the review of the current finance system. There is the possibility that this interim position will also play a lead role in bringing in a new finance system into the business. Â
Suitable Candidate for the Interim Financial Controller vacancy:
- Candidates will ideally be CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified and have experience of working in a similar SME finance role;
- Strong communication and leadership skills are important as the business values it’s culture and sees healthy internal communication as a key part of its growth strategy;
- Candidates will ideally be available to start within the next 4 weeks and commit to the duration of this assignment.
