Our client is a local property maintenance company that performs reactive maintenance to social housing properties and other local government properties within their domestic and commercial portfolios. They are looking to recruit a carpenter who can assist with their day to day works orders of reactive maintenance and PPM.

A carpenter with specialised skills in fire doors or FRA works such as their installation and maintenance would also be a beneficial addition to the team. Your duties will include the following;

  • Undertaking all aspects of repairs/maintenance work (given your skill set) to the required quality standards.
  • Assessing the work requirements when you get to site.
  • Communicating with the Call Centre in an accurate and timely manner via telephone to gain each job and to update the service co-ordinators with the work you believe is required and what you have subsequently undertaken.

Skills Required

  • Carpentry such as hanging doors, fixing kitchen cabinets and other similar reactive maintenance tasks
  • Kitchen and Bathroom Installation
  • Basic Plumbing is advantageous

Requirements

  • Previous carpentry experience (essential)
  • Previous fire door experience (beneficial)
  • Clean Driving License (essential)
  • Hard working

  • FEDRA affiliation
  • Successful recruitment is subject to a mandatory Clean DBS and Drug Test
