SEND Teaching Assistant - Havant

At Engage, we know that a school runs on quality support staff. We’re looking to increase our pool of Teaching Assistants to support secondary schools based in the Havant area. We work with a variety of schools who require regular supply teaching assistants to cover absence, course cover and to provide additional support to their students. Working on this basis can often lead to longer term opportunities and provide you with experience working in a variety of different environments. This can also increase your experience with different special educational needs and disabilities.

About the role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates who want to move into a career in teaching. You will benefit from in-depth support and training from the school, and develop your knowledge of the national curriculum. We also offer a Trainee Teaching Assistant programme. Whilst some placements will be advance bookings, in some instances you will be required (if available) to be on standby for a morning call. The students and staff that you’ll be working with will require you to be quick on your feet, getting used to a new environment, and to react quickly to changing situations. The schools of Hampshire and the surrounding areas are diverse and supportive and easily accessible by public transport.
