We are currently recruiting a number of Assembly Fitters to join a rapidly growing Engineering client in Havant. In this hands-on role, you will be contributing to the assembly of precision-engineered products - from vehicle frames and battery cases to marine cowlings and other high-quality structures, you will work with a diverse range of materials.
Key Responsibilities
As an Assembly Fitter, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional quality. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and assembling components to create final products.
- Interpreting technical drawings to perform precise engineering assembly tasks.
- Conducting in-process quality checks to meet stringent standards.
- Collaborating with the engineering team to develop comprehensive work instructions.
- Identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvements.
- Assisting with goods-in and dispatch activities when required.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation in your work area.
- Adhering to quality management systems and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) legislation.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have a passion for engineering, great attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team. Essential skills and experience include:
- A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a similar assembly fitter or engineering role.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Competence in using hand tools and light machinery.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
