Key Responsibilities:
- Management of assigned customer accounts, gathering and creating export shipping documents, and organising assigned transport methods
- Processing sales orders from receipt to despatch, including maintaining procedures for specific customers
- Liaising with freight forwarders and carriers as necessary
- Working closely with manufacturing and purchasing to ensure customer delivery requirements are met
- Informing the manager of any problems that may adversely affect tasks or customer expectations and service levels
- Maintaining up-to-date and organised files
- Answering telephone enquiries within the business
- Handling general enquiries within the department
- Releasing parts in the system, setting retail prices, and assigning lead times
- Conforming with all company rules and policies, including Health and Safety, Security, and Disciplinary Procedures
- Processing customs paperwork as required (e.g., EUR1, ATRs, and Country of Origin certification)
- Offering job flexibility and working additional hours to meet the needs of the business while supporting colleagues
Job Requirements:
- A proven track record in shipping, distribution, and leadership
- Experience in the marine industry, preferably dealing with OEMs and marine products
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics - D365
- Proficient in using Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for winning
- Team player with the character, competency, and ability to connect with team members to drive successful outcomes
Targets:
- Ensure timely and efficient processing of all sales orders
- Respond to all enquiries within one working day of receipt
- Support the department in exceeding targets for all customers
- Achieve a high level of organisation with all documentation control and internal/external communications
- Meet or exceed the standard expectations in appearance, work ethics, teamwork, timekeeping, and all communications
- Maintain your work area in exemplary condition
Rates & Hours:
- 37.5 hour week
- (Apply online only) Mon - Thurs, (Apply online only) Fri
- 25 days per holiday plus Bank Holidays (maybe required to work Bank holidays if month end)
- Approx. 25,000 salary
