Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is currently seeking a Cable Assembler for a contract position. This role involves working on the assembly of coaxial cable assemblies, using various tools and techniques, and ensuring that all tasks are performed to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assembly of coaxial cable assemblies
  • Tinning with solder pots
  • Heat Shrinking
  • Crimping with handheld or crimp-cradle
  • Working with multi-component connectors
  • Soldering with tongs or irons as appropriate
  • Following drawings and instructions for assembly tasks
  • Cable preparation and terminating connectors onto the cable
  • Working at a bench (either standing or sitting)
  • Automated and manual cutting of cable lengths
  • Automated cable stripping
  • Basic continuity testing to signal wave analysis and phase matching
Job Requirements:
  • Ability to listen well to instructions and guidance
  • Good concentration skills
  • Excellent hand and eye coordination and dexterity
