We are working with a multi-billion pound turnover engineering client as their sole agency on the search for a Payroll & HR Administrator for a fixed term contract of 6 months, this role also has the possibility of being extended further.I have been told by the exiting incumbent that the team is brilliant, very respectful and understanding, the manager is very supportive and does not micro manage people! You will be reporting into the HR Manager.We are looking for a self starter, someone that can hit the ground running and won't be bothered working on their own a majority of the time, although your manager is available constantly on Teams you will not be surrounded by a large team so need the ability to work on your own and stay motivated.A bit more about the role:

  • You'll be managing the monthly payroll process for around 180 heads, working with a third party vendor and ensuring all compliance controls are met.
  • You'll be looking after employee changes, so any new starters and leavers ensuring the companies HR system is accurate and up to date.
  • You'll be creating contracts for hourly paid employees, change letters for internal moves and resignation acknowledgements for leavers.
  • Lead the on-boarding process for HR for new starters whist supporting the Line Managers.
  • Help with employee relation cases.
  • Become a superuser of the absence management and self service HR system.
  • Coordinating annual salary reviews and bonus payments.
  • Work alongside the talent acquisition team to support recruitment of salaried staff.
  • Adhoc projects relating to employee wellbeing and engagement.

  • Understanding of UK employment legislation
