This part-time Tax Manager position (50% FT) offers flexibility on how you structure your hours while still playing a key role in a global manufacturing group with a strong, people-first culture.Working closely with senior management, you’ll be the go-to person for tax compliance, planning, and reporting for the UK and European divisions. This role is based in Havant, with flexibility on how you spread your hours across the weekReporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for:
  • Ensuring tax compliance across UK and international entities, maintaining strong internal controls
  • Preparing and overseeing UK corporation tax returns, working closely with external providers
  • Handling tax treatment for capital expenditures and maximising R&D tax relief
  • Tax planning at group level including advising on tax-efficient group business structures – intercompany funding, trading, services and resource-sharing
  • Managing transfer pricing compliance including planning, benchmarking and documentation
  • Withholding tax compliance for royalties, management charges, interest and dividends
  • Preparing tax forecasts for financial reporting, budgeting and cashflow planning
  • Reviewing and maintaining the tax element of the company risk and control matrix, providing recommendations to senior management for changes and processes needed to address risks
  • Monitoring corporate tax compliance for overseas subsidiaries
  • Managing UK and EU VAT compliance and planning
What you will need:
  • Qualifications in tax ( CTA / ATT ) and/or accounting ( ACA / ACCA / CIMA )
  • Experience of dealing with a range of taxation issues across all the relevant areas of tax, either gained from within practice or industry
  • Previous experience in a similar role, such as Tax Manager / Tax Accountant / Tax Associate / Tax Senior / Group Tax Manager / Corporate Tax Manager / International Tax Manager
  • Strong technical expertise, including IFRS and UK tax accounting knowledge
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to translate tax regulations into practical business solutions
  • A proactive and accountable approach – someone who spots improvements and makes them happen
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships across multiple sites and international teams
