Our client, a reputable business in the manufacturing sector, is currently seeking a detail-oriented Despatch Operative to join their team on a temp to perm basis. The ideal candidate will have experience in materials handling, warehouse operations, and shipping and receiving. and will also hold a Full UK driving Licence

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organise regular finished goods stock count to maintain accurate records
  • Organise and coordinate customer deliveries and relevant paperwork efficiently and on time
  • Organise sub-contract services and relevant paperwork
  • Maintain and improve finished goods storage including rack locations
  • Inspect and check the quality of components before packing to ensure they are packed adequately and protected for transportation
  • Deliver goods including loading and off-loading as required
  • Operate the forklift as and when required
  • Carry out basic maintenance of the vehicle(s)
  • Observe speed and road requirements and drive accordingly
  • Carry out any other duties as reasonably requested
  • Ensure all Health & Safety/COSH policies and procedures are observed
  • Be punctual, reliable, and suitably attired
  • Respect and adhere to the core values and rules of the organisation
  • Execute picking, packing, and shipping tasks accurately
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the warehouse
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations
Job Requirements:
  • Experience in materials handling, warehouse management, or related field preferred
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and carrying up to a certain weight limit
  • Familiarity with stock procedures and inventory control
  • Knowledge of picking, packing, and shipping processes
  • Full UK Driving licence
