Assembly Fitter

We are looking for a skilled Assembly Fitter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, and ensuring the quality of heavy-duty shaftline seals, as well as working collaboratively with engineering and manufacturing teams to drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out multi-component assemblies using hand tools and lifting equipment and the testing of large multi-component assemblies.
  • Position, align, and torque assemblies to meet drawing specifications.
  • Working with heavy mechanical assembly. Conducting in fault finding and problem solving.
  • Conduct high-pressure water and air testing of assemblies.
  • Cut, bond, and assemble rubber components to required specifications.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to resolve non-conforming products and support engineering in development assembly.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures at all times.
  • Support stores and packing teams as required by business demand.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assemble and bond rubber components.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in a production or engineering environment.
  • Strong mechanical/assembly aptitude.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with Health & Safety procedures.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with hydraulics, pipe fitting or heavy mechanical assembly would be desirable.
  • Flexibility to work across different operational teams as required.
  • A clean driver's license.
  • Competency with Microsoft Office and MRP systems.
