- Planning and managing merchandise to maximise company profitability.
- Ensuring product availability across all sales channels.
- Collaborating with the buying team to accurately forecast trends, plan stock levels and monitor performance.
- Regularly reviewing performance indicators, like sales and discount levels.
- Managing and maintaining stock levels to ensure continuous availability.
- Maintaining relationships with suppliers and negotiating costs.
- Tracking market trends and performing competitor analysis.
- Preparing reports and sales forecasts for senior management.
Profile
A successful Merchandiser should have:
- Proven experience in retail merchandising and fashion in particular.
- Strong commercial and business acumen in the world of fashion,
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills and cross-functional collaboration.
- A detail-oriented approach with a strong analytical ability.
- Proficiency in using merchandising software and tools.
- Ability to work well in a team and under pressure.
