Quality Technician - Portsmouth - £30-£35k

Morson Talent are supporting one of our clients in the Portsmouth area with the recruitment of a Quality Technician on a permanent contract. The Quality Technician will be required to develop and deploy quality processes to enhance the level of service to customers.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Satisfying and exceeding customer expectation is a pre-requisite to the success of the business unit. There is a requirement for a technician / operator to assist in the operation of systems and processes, that will allow the quality of productions to be measured and managed in controlled conditions.

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

Ensure that the process is followed rigorously and there is no deviation from the agreed prescriptive approach to handling, test and refurbishment of products.
Identify product failure and ensure that the failure mechanism is captured, and data integrity maintained.
Undertake independent bench testing on products as and when required.
Provide complete, unambiguous reports at an agreed frequency to the operations team and engineering.
Ensure the necessary calibration of all equipment used in the test process, and confirm that equipment has benefited from planned preventive maintenance as required.
Ensure a secure, clean work environment following 5S guidelines.
Undertake quality control checks as and when required, based on contractually agreed service levels.

EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE:

Quality experience in a medium to high volume electronics manufacturing or process environment.
Working as part of a successful team ensuring regular product output.
Knowledge and ability to follow industry standard approaches to product and process verification.

PERSONAL:

Good customer service skills.
Open minded for all possible solution.
Working well as a team.
Excellent communication skills with employees and operations.
