Our client a Civil Engineering Contractor are looking for a Quantity Surveyor, to work on projects from climate adaptation and infrastructure projects. The Quantity Surveyor will receive a generous salary up to £60k + Car allowance or Salary Sacrifice Electric / Hybrid Car Scheme, company bonus, Private Healthcare and fantastic career development.

The company that the Quantity Surveyor will be working for are a well-established Civil Engineering contractor, whom work on projects from conception through construction to project delivery. The Quantity Surveyor will be working on prestigious projects along the south coast.

Quantity Surveyor Position Remuneration

  • Salary - Upto £65k

Quantity Surveyor Position Overview

  • Manage the Cost Value Reconciliation process within the business
  • Establish and maintain the Operations/Commercial partnership required
  • Monitor manage risk & associated budgets
  • Monitor performance standards & quality
  • Procure subcontractors at lower than Tender sums whenever possible. Seek to negotiate the best price for the company
  • Build strong relationships with clients & their representatives
  • Discuss and develop procurement strategy with team members & in accordance with the contract programme. Monitor & update as necessary
  • Submit timely applications for payments to ensure cash can be collected in accordance with the Contract
  • Manage subcontractors effectively & in accordance with their terms & conditions
  • Ensure project cost forecasts are updated accurately, in a timely manner

Quantity Surveyor Position Requirements

  • Bachelors or Masters within Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
  • RICS membership or working towards
  • NEC3,4, ECC, ICE & JCT full contract awareness
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in Civil Engineering environment
  • Understanding of CVR's & financial reports
  • Experience of Dispute resolution
