Panel Wirer, FULL TIME

Basic + performance bonus

Location: Havant, Hampshire

Job Purpose:

My client is in a phase of growth and are expanding its electrical panel building workshop.

The role involves reading electrical and mechanical drawings, building panels to precise specifications, including panel testing, cable management, and field wiring and field device configuration/testing.

An effective Panel Wirer should communicate well, maintain a clean and orderly workspace, adhere to Health and Safety procedures, test panels before dispatch, and ensure effective packing for delivery. Company is looking to recruit highly-motivated, ambitious and committed.

The position is based at our Havant, Hampshire office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building a panel according to the drawings
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Proficiency in building electrical panels and field wiring
  • Testing and setting sensors, IO testing, and troubleshooting wiring issues
  • Electrical stock management

Job requirements:

  • Experience in industrial equipment panel and field wiring
  • Willingness to travel for equipment installation
  • To be a team player, good problem solving and communication skills

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 years experience in a similar role
  • 17th/18th Wiring regulations (preferred but not an essential)
  • BTEC/Apprenticeship/NVQ in Electrical/Manufacturing Engineering (preferred)

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, day shift
  • As per commissioning/delivery schedule, work at customer site
